Austin has no shortage of events celebrating incredible food. But behind every unforgettable meal is a team of people who make hospitality possible.

On August 25, Good Work Austin brought our community together at Still Austin Whiskey Co. for Building Good Work Together, an evening dedicated to celebrating the restaurants, chefs, workers, and hospitality leaders who make Austin’s food scene thrive.

Guests enjoyed food from some of Austin’s beloved restaurants, thoughtfully paired cocktails, inspiring stories, and opportunities to connect with the people shaping the future of our local hospitality industry. The evening also featured interactive experiences highlighting the businesses, workers, and workforce programs helping build a stronger food and beverage community.

The night culminated in a special awards celebration recognizing the people and businesses leading the way through mentorship, community impact, innovation, and a commitment to creating good jobs. Most importantly, the honorees were chosen through an open community nomination process, giving Austinites the opportunity to recognize the people they believe are making a difference in our hospitality industry.

Building Good Work Together was more than an evening of celebration. It was a chance to recognize the people behind Austin’s food scene and bring our community together around a shared vision for a stronger hospitality industry.
