A Big Health Win for Food Workers — With a January 15 Deadline

Many food and beverage workers continue to work without health insurance because they can’t afford the monthly healthcare premiums. A new pilot program from Good Work Austin now gives a direct way to change that in 2026.

Good Work Austin, with funding from Central Health and in partnership with Sendero Health Plans and Foundation Communities, has launched a one-year pilot program that fully covers monthly health insurance premiums for qualifying, uninsured food and beverage workers.
